Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl - Release 19th Nov 2021

I have not played the remakes but skimming through Serebii's articles resulted in me saying that Underground is a solution to everything. Need a TM? Better start digging. Want an item for Ramanas legendaries? Grab that pickaxe. Require an evolution item for Electabuzz? The shovel is right there...

GSC In-Game Tier List Mark V

Morty: With Mud-Slap, Stantler (21lv) can 2HKO Gastly, 3HKO Haunter and 6HKO Gengar. Curse is guaranteed so some switching is mandatory. Dream Eater 2HKOs Stantler. Overall, it's not a bad fight if you teach the reindeer Mud Slap - it gets some kills and supports the team here. Jasmine: Stantler...

DPPt In-Game Tier List Thread v2

Judging by the fact that not every tier list uses the same set of rules, I see no problem of lowering standards for each ranking here due to Platinum's difficulty. Personally, I always treated S tier as just a list of the most efficient Pokemon (relatively to everything below it).

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen In-Game Tier List

No. This is not what I tried to convey with my last message. I personally disagree with you but as you said - we don't have to agree. If you find yourself displeased with my opinions now then you probably won't be in the future. I feel the same here, honestly. Bulbasaur is not really an A tier...

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen In-Game Tier List

The same logic can be applied to gym battles - some other Pokemon might do the job for Bulbasaur - but we still take every single major battle into the consideration. Pokemon should be negatively valued for struggling with common trainers. In this regard, I agree with GetaX here - Bulbasaur...

GSC In-Game Tier List Mark V

I remember using Sunflora a few years ago and having surprisingly decent time with it in Gold. Even if it only has Growth and Petal Dance, the flower can muscle through some opponents. Personally, I would rate it between C and D tier (the latter is definitely more fitting when I compare Pokemon).

    Pokemon Evolutions that disappointed you?

There are some unevolved Pokemon I prefer (like Ivysaur, Sealeo and Torracat) but I will only list major examples of evolutions I consider significantly worse. :ss/Pikachu: ---> :ss/Raichu-Alola: Alolan Raichu: Not only does it look worse than Pikachu, it also looks much worse than the original...

Silliest in-game experiences / funny stories?

Pokemon FireRed. I had an electrifying experience which went like this: >Electrode used Spark! >Electabuzz got paralyzed! >Electrode got paralyzed due to Static! >Electrode can't move due to paralysis! >Electabuzz can't move due to paralysis! >Electrode used Screech! It missed! >Electabuzz...

    Unpopular opinions

I used this exact set in Pokemon White (picked Return as a fourth move) and had lots of fun. In White 2, I bred Ferrothorn to have Curse+Leech Seed+Power Whip+Gyro Ball and had even more fun. There is something extremely satisfying in looking at your opponent's helpless struggle as you suck life...

What is your favorite Gen 8 Pokemon?

These two are the only ones I really love from generation 8. :sm/Zacian::sm/Zamazenta: I am a boring person, I love legendaries, dogs and cats. Stoutland is my favourite gen 5 Pokemon.

Research Do you believe pokemon games are on a downward spiral?

On a more serious note, I do not believe that the main games are on a downward spiral since upcoming 'Legends' looks promising. Despite that, I actually agree with You, Nullzach, about the most recent decline of quality in the series. Ultra versions of Sun and Moon disappointed me before their...

Research What's your least favorite gen 8 pokemon?

There are many I dislike but most of them evolve into something decent. Eiscue is beyond salvation though. Even fossil abominations look better than this.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon In-Game Tier list (v2)

In my opinion, this problem lies mainly in Exp. Share and the game being build around it. In seventh generation, I used Pokemon in slow experience group a few times. I also dislike the fact that they tend to easily fall behind whenever other team members are having their time to shine...

DPPt In-Game Tier List Thread v2

I can just imagine the hours required to get your Pokemon up to 57-59 levels. My full teams usually end up around 50s in Sinnoh's Hall of Fame.

DPPt In-Game Tier List Thread v2

You can catch Psyduck (or even Golduck) right after acquiring Surf in Celestic Town at level 40 (higher than Barry's and Byron's teams in Canalave). The duck has type advantage against Byron, Flint and Bertha while also having the option to use coverage against other major trainers (e.g. Candice...

Your top 10 Pokémon games and why

    1. HeartGold/SoulSilver. They have well designed region - Johto is tightly packed with many areas so exploring it is both fast and interesting. The available postgame is one of the best to this day - instead of grinding in facilities, you can continue your journey. The remakes have beautiful...

    GSC Ingame Discussion

What really surprised me about these games was the realization that almost every single route has something interesting on it and most of them do not require venturing into tall grass. You have locations such as Dark Cave, Ruins of Alph, Daycare, National Park, Momoo Farm and Mt. Mortar right...
