Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I approve of this battle, because it had Murkrow in it. That thing is amazing ;)
But great warstory; interesting teams and a good battle made for an enjoyable read. Your commentary especially (though crude at times) it was quite reflective of what you were going through in the battle, and it...
Poor/Below Average SS wouldn't really lend itself towards the 'somewhat balanced bulky offense style'. For comparison, Beautifly gets Quiver Dance; its Special Sweepiness lies in the 'Above Average' range, yet it is barely seen, even in NU. Though it is significantly less bulky than Sketchy will...
Looking at Deck Knight's table, we really shouldn't be advocating anything above Above Average for both PS and SS; access to Shell Smash means a 'Good' or even 'Very Good' limit on either sweepiness stat will either give Sketchy a ridiculous speed stat to work with or a ridiculous attacking stat...
The problem with discussing 'Threats' for Sketchy is that its sketched move will be chosen to check as many of these threats as possible. Problem with Dragonite? Use Ice Beam/Punch. Heatran? Use insert EQ/Earth Power/Aura Sphere etc. Additionally, because of its ability to use Spore, it can...
In Pokemon Dream World when you have two areas unlocked, what is the chance of being sent to either of them?
Ie: a 50/50 chance or is there an outside factor?
One of the better checks to Excadrill, I've found is Rock Polish Landorus. As long as they don't have Frustration/Return, you can switch in and proceed to set up a Rock Polish, outspeeding them and hitting back hard for the KO.
The problem being you've named four moves, whereas almost all...
After reading through this thread and playing a handful of matches myself, I am agreeing with the consensus that Smashpass teams are ridiculously broken; nothing short of prankster haze or an early roar can stop them. If your hazer/roarer is gone, then gg. Quiverpass teams are almost as...
I've been running Physically Bulky Featherdance Murkrow on my teams; it is a godsend to almost any physical attacker. Featherdance, TWave and Roost off damage.
I voted Intimidate again, but i would not mind either Filter/Solid Rock or Poison Heal winning, as they both take this CAP in positive directions.
I am however strongly against Magic Guard as an ability, I believe a pokemon with decent attacking stats and defences will be almost broken with an...
