    Un-Needed Aspects of Pokémon

You're wrong about everything except Phione. There's really no reason for it to exist (why not have it as a Manaphy pre-evo?)

RU C&C Index: look here if you need to reserve an analysis

May I try my hand at Muk, if OKed? (Yes, I'm biased).

How important are nicknames to you?

Nicknames are vital, how else would you distinguish yours from everyone else's? It also becomes a fun challenge when you try to come up with clever names, or name several along a theme (e.g. I tend to name Fire-types after volcanos, Electric-types after stars, fossils after paleoartists...)

Things in Pokémon which really hit you by surprise

Whenever Grumpig turns up in randoms, it always takes me by surprise. Come on, it's a fat pig and it's outrunning/outreflexing birds in the air. Also speaking of speed, Electrode. It's a ball. That moves blisteringly fast. I always rationalized it as turning into pure electricity and zapping...

    "Worst Pokémon Ever"

Going to have to go with Lucario for this one. There's absolutely nothing redeemable about that pile of shit. It's as if Nintendo decided to outsource their creative department to Deviantart, and got an 11-year-old to do the design. First off, it's an anthropomorphic canine. Yawn, big deal...

    CAP 18 CAP 18 - Pokedex Submissions

Final Submission Volkraken, the Abyssal Pokémon X: Despite its scary looks, it's actually intelligent and curious. It inspects submarines that visit the deep sea. Y: It superheats water to boil its prey. It can be found around sunken volcanoes and deep-sea vents where darkness is total.

    CAP 18 CAP 18 - Playtest

What about combinations similar to those of the original core? I've decided to try out Cobalion + Flygon as teammates for Volkraken.

    CAP 18 CAP 18 - Playtest

Volkraken is the best design. Just got swept by a BP chain that had Volkraken as the final recipient (too bad it doesn't have Suction Cups!). Was trying out AV Volkraken and it's pretty darn bulky, but no recovery, sadly. E: vvv Yeah, that was me :)

    OU Voltturn with Birds

Wow, thanks a lot! Returning to double birds would be welcome, as it was the first iteration of the team (hence the title). Will revamp and playtest the team taking everyone's comments to heart, and possibly end up posting another RMT in the distant future if it's different enough.

    Banette (revamp) GP [0/2]

Is Disable worth a mention? I've tried using Protect + Disable on Mega Banette and it does a decent job of hampering attackers (of course, Banette ends up with half a moveset taken up by a strategy that can be played around once the initial surprise is over). Still a reasonable utility move.

    OU Voltturn with Birds

That's the catch-22, isn't it? Use Smogon recommendations and you're unimaginative and predictable. Don't use them and you're a scrub who uses stupid gimmicks. You can't win! Alright, that's good! So adhering to strict voltturn would make the team too predictable (case in point: baton pass...
