Especially when you get into things like Primal Groudon, the heaviest pokemon in the games to date, weighs less than a metric ton and wialord, the world's largest pokemon, if put into the real world is so light that it would float... in air.

Actually, there is a pretty good reason for that: after the porygon incident and the discovery of the franchise's popularity, they retooled the movie because it was intended as a series finale. The other movies have no such excuse.
Looking at the unholy terror Mega Rayquaza seems to be since it has an item slot, does anyone think it might be wise to ban the beast from mega evolving if it comes into battle holding an item much like how other megas can't hold any item save their specific stone?
Looking through Glalie's abilities, I have found that it in its base form has the unmitigated terror known as Moody. Be afraid. Be very, very afraid. Smogon may ban it, but Nintendo doesn't.
A bit of fodder- for those who think that Pokemon games are too linear, I happen to agree, I think it would be cool if pokemon games took a page from the Elder Scrolls series and became true wide open sandboxes.
