Had an absolute BLAST at the end of that! I got paired with very few high-ranked opponents in this tournament - I just did a count-up and I only faced 4 opponents (out of 80) above 1700, with only Peterko being above 1750. As such it was tough picking up points, and I was fail as ever, losing...

40 minutes to go, after an awful tournament but pretty good last day, I'm at my ratings peak of 1680. The race for 1700 is on! (It would help if I could find an opponent!)

I believe that it wasn't intentional, don't worry. Smogonites are a good bunch in general =] I just hope you're there in the final rankings, as it sounds like you've had a pretty tough time with Dc's against you.

I think it's a chance to try out your team from your own home against players from all around the world, and I think that in that regard it is a competitive tournament, not just a warm-up. Some people can't go to the VGC events this year and this is a chance for them to try out the metagame*...

I hate people who disconnect when they've lost. I hate even more so people who disconnect just as you're about to enter a really tense and exciting endgame which might go either way. Keep the faith, Misaki! Play out those endgames! You can always DC later =]
