Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
If it's broken in ubers, I guess it could get banned from ubers too.
I think jpw hit the nail on the head. Mare clock brought up some good points too in that smogon has never outright banned an entire playstyle before, but has gotten rid of problem Pokemon instead. And except for rain's case...
Offensive teams can still deal with baton pass though.

Not my replays. You can make the argument that his team is tailored to deal with baton pass but that isn't exactly the case. At a glance, it's a...
Shell smashing against Tyranitar is totally legit! Stone edge has about 10% accuracy anyway, so when it misses, you're free to set up and sweep!
Reminds me of fifth gen wifi battles. I had my Latias in against a garchomp and I had used calm mind 4 times already. Sand was up. I missed dragon...
There's nothing wrong with using drizzle and drought on the same team. Especially when the drought user is someone good like charizard Y. It's why some ubers teams use groudon and kyogre on the same team.
I don't mean to be mean, but a lot of this thread has been "The Bad vs. the Terrible"...
Nah, this is completely legit. When a Pokemon's movepool is so bad that you've got no other options, you have to work with what you've got. The silly thing is that somebody is using leafeon in OU. But if you absolutely have to tread those waters for whatever reason you choose, then dig is a...
There's no way the second guy could have been legit. Staraptor outsped slurpuff on the first turn. What was he using when he came in a second time? Whirlwind?
2% usage isn't even OU though. So it's not really necessary to make a post talking about why you shouldn't use arcanine at all. I mean, umbreon and metagross currently have higher usage than he does and I don't see anybody mentioning them in this topic.
His physical movepool is good enough to prevent the usual special walls from being a threat to him. That's why neither Tyranitar nor blissey were considered counters to him last gen and that's one of the reasons why he was banned. If you're running four attacks and some coverage moves, there...
Confirming as DOUBLE SPOILER.
I have no business playing pokemon at 4 am in the morning. That picture of Stu sounds really accurate right about now. Sorry if I didn't recognize all the alts.
