Hey, welcome to smogon. The thing with your Swalot analysis was, Swalot isn't really a viable mon in UU at all. Please read the rules of the given subforum you're posting in as well as make sure it's actually viable. If you want it to be viable, please do post at least a few lines of justification for why it should be considered. If you require help, you can find a list of mentors here. Hello my name is James and I've been playing pokemon since gen 1. I played for many years and around the time Diamond and Pearl came out i stopped playing till now. I used to love being able to raise my mons and ev train them to perfection (still unsure on this whole iv thing... XD) and always lacked the ability to play online back then so i took a long break to get education and get a good job and now i can totally ply again! if it wasnt for ORAS i totally wouldnt be playing at all. I hope to learn how to breed perfect pokemon! In any spare time i get....

I've never EV trained or IV bred... :/ For breeding, try out the "Wi-Fi" room in Showdown or the section of the forums here at Smogon! You can talk about breeding and other in-game content. Have fun and I'll see you around!

Sorry. I forgot that Swalot is actually in NU, not UU. The reason I posted it in NU is because I'm going to use him in my UU themes team, and NU are allowed in UU battles if I'm not mistaken. I'm sorry for the mix up. I should have double checked his tier. But I still believe it's a viable set for NU.
Try reserving the analysis on the Analysis Reservation Thread or asking a mod for the respective tier if you think your analysis is viable but isn't listed. UU analyses go in UU, NU analyses go in NU. Don't post a UU set in an NU subforum and don't post the thread without permission.

Hello. I'm IceJan. Similiar to Elara I have been lurking around for a long time (pre-Black/White so 2010-11?). While I enjoy and appreciate the wealth of analysis in the Strategy Pokédex and find myself there frequently when I build my team for wifi battles. I never really had a reason to jump in on the forums because I feel like I won't be contributing much to it.

After a bit of reading I look upon the Maison battles records I have manage, never realizing alot of things that the AI Trainers runs specific sets of Pokémon along with specific sets (most of the time) just by identifying their name alone! It was then realize I might actually be able to contribute somehow..

Hello everyone! Name's Andrew, but you can call me Hatchet. I've been a huge fan of Pokemon since the very beginning. Started with Red back in 1998 and now playing ORAS. I used to live, breathe, and sleep Pokemon but once Black and White came around, I was losing interest. Thanks to X and Y and it's new features, I've been sucked back in and now I'm loving it all over again. I have not really gone too much into the competitive scene except IV breeding and stuff in X but I gave up trying to get a Rhyhorn the way I needed it. Team building and team strategy are my two faults and I'd love to learn some more. For some reason I avoided this place like the plague for a while, but now I'm ready to give a shot. My favorite Pokemon are Lucario, Flygon, Latias, and Espeon :D.

I have been playing Pokemon since the Red and Blue days (I'm 24). I have always loved Pokemon, both anime and games. I got competitive around the time of Diamond and Pearl with EVing andtrying to breed IV and sucking at it breeding. At that time I used to play with some high school kids that were a little competitive but not really serious. Anyway, after Diamond and Pearl I lost interest in competitive play for a while and went back to playing for fun. I got back into the competitive scene when Black and White came out and have stuck with it since.
I signed up for Smogon a few hours ago, but I shortly left afterwards, because I thought I had to wait on a confirmation email. It turned out that the confirmation email had been going to to my spam box. I said it like that because I hit the resend button multiple times and when I found out that I had been getting them all along I logged back in here.
I have been playing on Showdown for over two years now and that is where I found out about Smogon. I'm hoping to learn things I don't know, like bredding, and other various things about Pokemon that I don't know already, or am having a hard time understanding. I also want to meet people and make friends, if at all possible.
Some things about myself now. I love to watch anime and read manga, I can draw, and I love cats. I hate sports, seriously. My favorite color is Purple. I'm lonely natured person, not by choice... I have went through life so far with only one friend (in real life), so the majority of friends I have are all online. I have Skype if you want to add me, it's on my profile. Uh, I don't know what else to say right now, so yeah. Nice to be a part of this very large community and I hope to have a good time.

My name is Joshua (friends call me Josh) and I'm 21, but y'all can just refer to me as Pharmasynth on these forums! I'm mostly active on Nuggetbridge, but I decided to check out Smogon to see what it was all about! I started playing Pokémon back in the original Ruby and Sapphire days, but I started playing competitively back in 5th gen. I'd call myself a doubles/VGC specialist as that's the metagame I mainly play and ladder on. Though I don't really play in events (thinking about playing in live events this year, but that may or may not happen as this is my last semester in college), I do play on the Battle Spot Doubles ladder, and I'd say I'm a pretty experienced player. VGC is such a fun metagame, and I love helping beginners with teambuilding and general doubles tactics, and I love learning and discussing the VGC metagame as a whole. I'm actually thinking about trying to ladder onto some of the other Battle Spot ladders like Singles and Triples for fun, and I think I can learn a lot from these forums and familiarize myself with these metagames!
Some of my interests and hobbies include Pokémon (obviously haha), electronic music (favorite genres include Trance & Progressive, all variants of House music, synth wave, and big beat), cars (I LOVE Porsche and BMW and basically all the Japanese manufacturers; not really a fan of American cars, though haha), tennis (Use to play competitively in high school, and I need to hit the courts again! Novak Djokovic and Simona Halep are my baes; I can't wait for the Australian Open!), pharmacology (I find drugs and the way they work fascinating. Hopefully I'll get into a graduate Pharmacology program when I feel I'm ready to apply to grad school), night life (dancing and alcohol lol), and Max Emerson (<3). I hope I didn't bore y'all with my introduction, and I'm excited to get further involved in these forums!

Hi im Jeremy im 16 and last year was my first year of competative battling. Ive been playing pokemon since i was 5 or 6 when Sapphire and Ruby were released, so you could imagine my excitement to hear that ORAS was released.
